Indigenous Elders emphasize the importance of teaching our youth to know and respect nature’s central spiritual and functional role in our lives. Blue Ecology Institute Foundation (BEIF) believes in sharing the Blue Ecology message with youth.

What is a Youth Ambassador?

Youth Ambassadors are young leaders from British Columbia who advocate for the principles of Blue Ecology. As a Youth Ambassador you will:

Share the Blue Ecology philosophy.
Be a part of a network of like-minded individuals striving for positive environmental change.
Be a leader in your community, leading and supporting environmental initiatives.
Participate in Youth Ambassador meetings and events.

How to Become a Youth Ambassador

You can become a Youth Ambassador by participating in one of our Blue Ecology retreats where you will:

Learn about the 5 principles of Blue Ecology and how to practice them in everyday life.
Learn about the differences and similarities between Indigenous and Western approaches to sustainability.
Learn about the Economics of Enough and Conscious Consumerism.
Gain leadership and communication skills to inspire others.
Participate in water ceremonies and deepen your connection to nature.
